BAPRAS
The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons is the voice of plastic surgery in the UK, advancing education in all aspects of the specialty and aiming to increase understanding of the scope of plastic surgery.
BAPRAS supports trainees by:
- organising plastic surgery events and training courses for medical professionals at all stages of their careers such as the advanced educational courses, annual congresses, wellbeing events, educational webinars
- publication of our peer-reviewed journal, JPRAS;
- e-learning offering through e-LPRAS;
- provision of grants and bursaries for further study or to fund research in plastic surgery;
- dissemination of information and guidance on plastic surgery for members of the public;
- provision of assistance and guidance around standard setting, consensus building and best practice.
BAPRAS is the principal funder of PLASTA, offering financial and administrative support, including help with your annual congress and ensuring that the voices of the trainees are supported at higher level.
PLASTA committee members are invited to sit on BAPRAS Council and Committees representing the interests of trainees and having the chance to impact the work of the Association.
